Following my previous post on the makeup that no longer inhabits my makeup collection drawers, this post is on my new makeup organisation and storage. Like I said before, January has made me want to re-organise every aspect of my life and the way I keep my makeup is no exception.
Everything is in my 3-drawer, black, Ikea dresser, well the third drawer holds my nail products. The first drawer, which is slightly shallower than the other two, has my basics. These items are separated by an Ikea white, plastic divider. (I swear this post is not sponsored by Ikea!) Going from right to left, firstly I have my Nuxe face cream, foundations, concealers, powders, eyeshadow bases and a primer. Behind that compartment I keep all my eyebrow and lash products. In the middle of this Ikea organiser, I keep my cheek products. In front you can see my blushes, behind them I have my contours and bronzers, and at the back my highlighters. Next to that, on the left side of the drawer, I keep all of my perfumes and my contact lenses.
Moving on to the next drawer. Again, going from right to left. (I don't why I prefer going that way!) On the right side of the drawer, in a Glossybox lid, I keep all of the eyeshadows that aren't in my palettes. By the way, I keep my palettes on the top of this dresser. Next to that, there is another Glossybox lid, where I keep my lip-glosses, lip-liners and eye-liners. On the left side of my second drawer, in a Glossybox box, I have all of my lipsticks. In the back of this drawer I keep my false lashes, some hair products and my makeup brushes in a shallow, clear Ferrero Rocher container. Ferrero Rocher boxes are amazing for separating your makeup, too. I'm also using them for my jewellery.
And that it all. I hope I've helped you organise your makeup collection in a way, or that you've enjoyed reading this. To be honest, I'm not sure for how long this will be the way that I store my makeup, but for now it works for me just fine.
How do you organise your makeup?
