I have a lot of weaknesses, but watching television series is my biggest — check out my tumblr and twitter profiles for proof. For once, I've decided to blog about the tv shows that I've been watching or re-watching. It's kind of hard to believe that I've never blogged about tv before. Sure, I've mentioned some shows in my monthly favourites, but never done a dedicated post. Shame on me!
I'm going to start with the show I'm most obsessed with and it's 2 Broke Girls. First time I watched an episode of this show was a long time ago and I didn't like it. What was wrong with me that night? I simply can't understand, nor remember why I didn't like it. But a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I wanted to watch something and after hours of talking, we decided to watch the first episode of 2 Broke Girls. We all loved it, so we watched the second episode too. The following day I started watching the remaining episodes and currently I'm halfway through the second season. It's so funny and calming. I absolutely love watching it late at night, to relax and de-stress.
The biggest show at the moment is probably Game of Thrones. I'm so late to this party, as I finished catching up to the show two weeks ago. Everybody loves Game of Thrones, so I had to see what the fuss is all about. It's a good show, with great storyline and unnecessary nude scenes, in my opinion. The thing I don't like about is that it's a bit too realistic, thus unfair. Yes, I'm talking about the Starks, and yes I was crying when Winterfell fell, when Robb died, when Drogo died. Many people have a horrible life in it, actually I think everyone is unhappy in that show. So, I can't hope for a happy ending for Daenerys, right?
Another comedy I started watching is Me & Mrs. Jones. BBC Entertainment started showing it and I loved it from the first second. Maybe the fact that Robert Sheehan plays in it, is the reason I loved it so quickly. It was very funny and enjoyable, plus I love the opening credits. Sadly, it got cancelled after the first season and that leaves me with only 6 episodes.
My Mad Fat Diary ended a while ago, but I still watch some episodes here and there. Particularly, the second series finale, which was absolutely perfect. The best series finale I've seen, as far as I can remember. I love the fact that it was set in the 90s. I love the show's fashion, story, music and it touches such sensitive issues. It's a brilliant show, that sort of reminds me of Skins. But with Skins there wasn't always room for a happy ending or closure. I have a million of unanswered questions, that I hoped the 7th series would have dealt with.
Last, but not least we have Doctor Who. I haven't watched Doctor Who since the Christmas special, but BBC Entertainment broadcast The Bells of Saint John — one of my favourites — last week. That got me in the mood for more Doctor Who episodes, so I started watching some favourites like The Eleventh Hour, The Lodger, The Crimson Horror and of course The Name of the Doctor, The Day of the Doctor and The Time of the Doctor. The last three I could watch forever. There are no words to describe what Doctor Who is. It's fantasy and science, comedy and drama. It's got it all, and that's the kind of shows I love most. Shows that can make me laugh this minute and cry the next are amazing, like Merlin.
What shows have you been watching lately? Do you like any of the shows I've mentioned? If you do, then you should definitely follow me on tumblr and twitter, because I am a big fangirl!

I'm a big Game of Thrones fan. I also love Reign, which is basically Game of Thrones-y, minus the nudity and extreme intensity. You must try watching it! I also watch Girls and recently finished The Newsroom which I LOVED.
ReplyDeleteI went through the same thing with 2 broke girls hehe

I love Game of Thrones so much too! And yes, way too many nude scenes. It's honestly uncomfortable sometimes how far they take it, but I love the story! And the deaths really are horrible! That massacre scene with Robb was so sad. :(
