It's no secret that I'm a lazy person, so I have to force myself to wash my makeup brushes as often as I can. Ideally, that'd be once a week, but since I have been terribly busy with uni, I can't even remember the last time I actually washed these brushes. Don't worry I wasn't applying makeup with dirty brushes! To be honest, I also can't remember the last time I wore makeup. That's what uni does to you, you have no time to do anything.
Anyway, this isn't a rant about university life, but a post on how I clean my makeup brushes. Firstly, I get the brush wet and then I pour some cheap baby shampoo on my left hand. With my right hand holding the brush I swirl it around on my left hand to create foam and get it clean. Then I rinse out the foam from the brush and lastly, I lay it on a towel to dry for some hours. I repeat the same process for all of my brushes. My hands and legs hurt after this, because it takes about an hour to get them all clean. It definitely makes me regret buying all these brushes!
Do you hate washing your makeup brushes?

I do the same. I just wash the better used brushes more often than others so the work is less. :)
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me I need to wash my brushes! Thanks! I always try to wash them once a week with antibacterial dish soap and olive oil.

I hate washing make-up brushes and as a result usually don't. I just end up buying new ones. Yikes! haha :) I feel your pain.
