Sunday 15 December 2013
Hello everyone. I feel like I haven't done a skincare post in ages, so today I thought I'd talk about my Sunday skincare routine. Well, I don't do this only on Sundays, but I try to do it at least once a week, but I don't always succeed, because I am a lazy person. For that I try to keep my skincare routine simple and quick. If I'm wearing any makeup, I'll start off by removing it with the Avon Eye Makeup Remover and then I'll use The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash*. I've blogged about this product before and you can read my full review here. It's a simple facial wash that I use to cleanse my skin and it leaves a refreshing feeling. Then I move to my LR Skin Refining Face Scrub, which is a simple and gentle scrub that removes the dead skin cells. At this point my skin will start to feel a bit tight, a bit dehydrated, but we're just one step away before moisturising. Firstly, I've got to use my Avon Blemish Clearing Peel Off Mask, which I leave on for as long as I can handle. Soon after applying it starts to harden and you are basically unable to perform any facial expressions. I try to manage this tight feeling by watching some Doctor Who episode to distract myself, but it doesn't always work, as the temptation to peel the mask off is just too strong. I talk about this mask and the Tea Tree wash in this video. Anyway, when I've finally removed the mask my skin feels so much softer. The last step is to apply my current favourite face cream. The Nuxe Crème Fraîche de Beauté Enrichie, which is a 24H soothing and moisturising rich cream. It's got a strong rosewater scent, which doesn't bother me.
These are the products I use when my skin is starting to lose its softness and like I said I try to do this routine once a week. I know it's a very simple skincare routine, but I'm not a person that has the energy to apply tons of different products on my face. I'm lazy and sometimes I neglect my skin and I know that's bad.
What are you favourite skincare products?
